Our Nepalese handmade paper is made from the inner bark of a wild shrub locally known as "Lokta," which is found at altitudes of 7,000 to 9,000 feet. The "Lokta Bush" has characteristics of re-growing again and again after pruning. The long fibrous handmade paper is prized for its attractive texture, its durability, strength and its resistance to insects. We have been in business since 1995 with the main objective of supporting the developing Nepalese traditional craft industry, thereby improving a family's standard of living in the rural and urban areas. All of our hand made paper items are entirely tree free and Fair Trade.
NB1: 48 pages, 3x4 1/2, soft cover. This is our smallest notebook, it fits very nicely in your pocket or purse. Great for quick notes or to capture your inspiration.
NB2: 48 pages, 8x4 1/2, hardcover. This makes a nice carry along for a short weekend trip or a day hike, with a traditional Nepalese string closure.
NB48: 6 x 9 inches, hard cover travel journal. This is a unique piece. It is a travel set with a 40 page journal, 20 page writing tablet and 10 envelopes. It also has a nice pen holder in the inside spline.
NB70sm: 4.5 x 6 inches, 200 pages, hard cover. This is a wonderful small journal, 200 pages with a traditional Nepally string and button closure and a hemp and string binding. This little journal can pack in the writing. Chances are you will tire, before you run out of pages. This also pairs nicely with it's larger partner, the NB70 Lg. We call this the parent/child journal set, and we came up with the novel idea, for the parent and the child to journal the same 200 days in their lives, to have forever. This, in and of itself, seemed to be a good idea, until parents started calling me and telling me it was a great idea! When they hit an impass with their child, they traded journals in an attempt to see the others point of view. We are at over 2 dozen parents (and counting), contacting us with rave reviews.
Gorgeous Wine/Champagne Bags
Our georgous champagne/wine bag measures 4 inches square by 11 inches tall. Our bags are very strong with a solid reinforced bottom. This may not mean much to you now, but when you give a tall, slender bottle of Muscat,(read: expensive), as a hostess gift and it doesn't fall over as soon as you set it down, you'll thank us.

These little gift bags measure 3x4 inches and according to my wife jewelry fits in them very nicely. The make wonderful wedding favor/place cards. The back of the bag is solid so you can write you guest's name on it and have it double as your placecard, and they can be filled with anything from wild flower seeds to organic chocolate truffles, (for incredible organic chocolates go to LovemoreGourmet.com), to Oak tree saplings. We also like to put small gifts and candy in them and put them right in the Christmas tree for the young ones around the Holidays. They can be used over and over again year after year. You are welcome to choose assorted if you don't want all 10 of them in the same color.
Address Books
52 pages, 6x9 inch, hard cover. This is our largest address book. The pages are made of a heavy card stock for extra durability. In the front there is a page for all of your personal information along with 3 pages for birthdays and anniversaries etc. It measures 6 x 9 inches.

40 pages, 3x5inch, soft cover. This is our smallest address book. It is the size of a "little black book" and fits nicely in your pocket, purse or breifcase.
